Hey everyone! It's been long time after my brother's marriage that I am writing something..there is nothing new going in my life so I thought that I'll share something about my computer habits and how google is penetrating my life :) (it will be wise to say our lives!) Google, The best search engine company which is becoming a threat to Microsoft (they are taking away there employees, he he he), well they are not against microsoft infact they are making most of there tools which run on Windows only! I am in love with this company and find that everyday they make my life easier with the tools they provide us! Now, let me come back to where I(Mayank Gupta) was :) (I'll tell you later why I typed my name in brackets) i.e. my computer habits...... every now and then...I tend to format my computer....I dont know why..but I do that ;) few days back I upgraded from windows 2000 pro to windows xp pro (you must be thinking that I am very late in doing that....nah! I have used xp earlier but I didnt have a fast computer...but now I have a super fast computer)..so I installed it and filled it with lot of other usefull softwares and today finally I installed GOOGLE DESKTOP.....(from here I am describing those tools provided by GOOGLE INC., without which I cant live) I think this software is awesome...It is not only making your life simpler with lot of tools provided along with it..but it is making the searching (which google is known for!) lot easier! This tool is basically, an enhanced software to search your chat, email, files documents...etc. Now, If you dont know then let me tell you my office friends (I've left the job not my friends, you idiot!) call me GMAIL! wierd..? No, I just love this name ;) They gave me this name because I was one of those guys in my office who got GMAIL account in starting itself...and I used to promote it in my circle...so they started calling me GMAIL. Well this service gives you more than 2.5 GB of space...there is only one downside of it and that is doesnt allow you to attach EXE files :( Ofcource....Google Search.......I dont think I want to write anything about this one :) Picasa is another software from Google Inc. which I use regularly...I allows me to organise my large collection of photos without any problem...I'll suggest you to use that! and finally Google earth...That is a great piece of software and it allows you to see your own house and important building right from your computer screen! I think..it will be better if you guys simply go to www.google.com Now, I am sure lot of people will ask me (may be none :) ) that why did I write all this when everybody knows about google.....and my answer is that I am obssessed with the tools google is providing and I wanted to share my experience....I know I am not the biggest fan of GOOGLE but yes...I AM A FAN OF GOOGLE! and that is the most important thing for me!
